Quick and Easy Tips for Uploading Files

on Fri, 01/06/2012 - 20:08

We receive a lot of questions regarding how to properly upload files to StationeryHQ.
Just follow these four simple steps to ensure your jobs are printed correctly the first time – every time!

1. Make sure your document size, including bleed, matches our required “Art Size” –  if the product calls for a 7.1” x 5.1” art size, your art must be the exact same size.

2. Convert all colors to CMYK – including PMS, spot colors, and RGB – and make sure your document mode is set to CMYK. In Illustrator, simply “Unlock All”, “Select All”, then go to Edit > Edit Colors > Convert to CMYK.

WTF = What the Freight?

I frequently get asked the following questions from our customers (and even our employees):

1. Why are freight charges so high on StationeryHQ (especially since they were lower on the old site)?
2. Why can't you use the flat rate mail service which is $4.95?
3. How can other places offer much cheaper or free freight?

I know freight is an important issue, so here’s my best shot at explaining our freight costs.

1. Why are our freight charges so high?
Our old site had it flaws – including some interface design issues.

Winter Shimmer

on Wed, 09/28/2011 - 18:56

In early October we will add shimmer paper to our A7 and A7 folded cards. Yes, it's true. We DO listen to our cleints' requests.

We'll send out an email blast once this is released and available for order. WARNING: this paper is expensive. We realize it may not work for many of your customers, but the ones who do choose it will absolutely love the look of their cards. If the A7 and A7 folded sell, we'll add this paper to our other product lines the beginning of next year.

Happy Early Holidays!
