Quick and Easy Tips for Uploading Files

We receive a lot of questions regarding how to properly upload files to StationeryHQ.
Just follow these four simple steps to ensure your jobs are printed correctly the first time – every time!

1. Make sure your document size, including bleed, matches our required “Art Size” –  if the product calls for a 7.1” x 5.1” art size, your art must be the exact same size.

2. Convert all colors to CMYK – including PMS, spot colors, and RGB – and make sure your document mode is set to CMYK. In Illustrator, simply “Unlock All”, “Select All”, then go to Edit > Edit Colors > Convert to CMYK.

3. Don’t add “Printer’s Marks” such as crop marks. These will cause you document size to increase and you will not be able to upload your file, or it will print incorrectly. 

4. Always Save your document as PDF/X-1A. This will flatten all your transparency correctly for our presses.
