My first flash mob experience.
I'd seen flash mobs before, but only on TV or video. I was quietly chatting with a friend of mine at the Atlanta Gift Mart on Saturday when we were jolted by extremely loud music. We looked over the railing to find the source, but didn't really see anything out of the ordinary. A couple of seconds later we noticed the crowd on the floor starting to disperse and only one person left in the middle. And that's how it all started...
Before I knew it the dancing began and my friend said, "Is this a flash mob?" Sure enough a couple seconds later there were 5 people dancing to Footloose and I grabbed for my iphone to video the action. By the end of the show, there must have been 30 folks dancing in unison. Very cool to be there and watch the reaction of thousands of show attendees.
What a great way to energize a show. Enjoy!
